We were honored to host Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Teo Chee Hean and Minister for Finance Mr. Heng Swee Keat at START Centre as part of their visit to NTU’s research institutes. They were welcomed by Prof. Lam Khin Yong, Vice President (Research), NTU.

The delegation first visited Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N), where they were briefed by Prof. Subodh Mhaisalkar, Executive Director, ERI@N, and toured the institute’s facilities. During the visit, they learned about key research projects, including Multi-Energy Systems & Grids which aim to enhance energy resilience and sustainability.

They then proceeded to Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI) for a briefing by Prof. Ng Wun Jern, Executive Director, NEWRI, followed by a tour of its state-of-the-art facilities. The delegation was introduced to cutting-edge research projects such as the Sludge bio-digester and Aquaporin+.

Their visit concluded at START Centre, where they were hosted by Dr. Adil Dhalla, Managing Director, START Centre. The delegation explored our advanced membrane fabrication and testing capabilities, highlighting our role in translating innovative separation technologies into real-world applications.
